Online security is simple yet essential
As more and more people join the online community, monitoring their financial assets on a regular basis, there are concerns regarding online security. The vast majority of people are known to use the same username and password for a variety of their online services and very few people seem to change their password on a regular basis. Do you fall into this particular group?
There have been a number of reports suggesting that each person in the UK will at some point be the victim of an attempted online fraud or identification fraud using a variety of different means. The variety of options available to online fraudsters include anything from unsolicited e-mails which will load programs to monitor your keypresses, to the viruses which will allow third parties to control your system and more.
Those who feel it will "never happen to them" are the easy prey for the online fraudsters as very often their guards are down and they live under the misapprehension that they are safe. There are simple procedures which we can all use which include purchasing anti-viral and anti-hacking software which will alert users to potential cyber attacks and block any intrusion attempts. These are commonly available online and in any computer shop and could be the best piece of software you will ever buy.
