Sunday 7th February 2010
As we have covered in some detail over the last few days, bankruptcies and insolvencies in the UK have increased dramatically over the last 12 months and more bad news is likely in the short to medium term. While there are many in the UK who have literally fallen so far that bankruptcy and other debt repayment arrangements are necessary, it is becoming more and more apparent that some people are ignoring their financial problems in the hope they will disappear tomorrow. Unfortunately while the economy is showing signs of recovery it will be many months before UK consumers and UK businesses feel the full benefit of the expected upturn. In the meantime if you have financial issues which need to be, or should be, addressed as soon as possible you should be looking to take advice immediately. Burying your head in the sand in the hope that your problems will disappear in the future is something which many people are doing to their detriment. Tackle your problems today and you will receive a better response from your creditors! While for some people bankruptcy and other such arrangements may be the correct choice, those who catch their financial problems early enough many need nothing more than a readjustment of their repayment schedules. The truth is that unless you take advice you may not be aware of the options available to you and ultimately leaving today's problem for tomorrow could make things many times worse for you.
