While the ongoing industrial action by delivery drivers used to ferry fuel to Shell garages across the UK moves into its second day, there are real concerns that the strike action will be repeated next week as Unions try to force the hand of the delivery companies involved. However, there are many who believe that action is aimed at Shell rather than the companies which are employed by Shell to deliver the fuel, with a number of placards at picket lines across the UK blaming Shell for the situation.

Gordon Brown must be kicking himself over the timing of the action which has taken away much of his thunder in the aftermath of the resignation of a senior Conservative MP.
