Where Will You Be In Two Years Time?
If we take in all of the recent reports and short to medium term forecasts for the UK economy it is easy to see that the UK economy could still be in the doldrums in a couple of years time. One of the main reasons for these depressing comments is the fact that inflation is getting stronger and more and more people believe it will not weaken over the next two years. So how will that affect you?
If the economy has not improved then we would no doubt be in the grip of a serious property market recession with more and more homes being repossessed, more people falling into serious financial difficulties and unemployment topping the two million mark. The reduced strength of the public purse due to the recent policies of the government and the fact nothing was put aside in the good times will see the authority's hands tied.
Basically it is not worth thinking about how bad it could get if inflation does not fall and the economy does not recover. Two years is a very long time to live on the breadline and with the cost of living forever rising more and more people will be pushed below the poverty line. In summary the UK is in a mess and unless we see some radical moves in the short term the recovery may well be slow and prolonged.
