Simple Ways To Cut Fuel Costs
While the cost of petrol in the UK has fallen from recent highs it is still nowhere near the levels seen before the oil price rise. For those struggling to make ends meet with their travel arrangement, you might find the following tips for reducing fuel bills very useful :-
Tyre Pressure
If your car is running on the wrong tyre pressure this can add around 3% to the cost of your fuel bill. It may not much but when you add all of our tips together it makes a difference!
Air Conditioning
Even though many of us would never consider air conditioning to be a drain on our fuel supply, it can actually add up to 8% to your fuel bills! But don't switch it off and wind the window down as this can also add to your fuel costs.
Regular Servicing
Regular servicing of your car is a vital and while many of us put it off for as long as possible it is an investment in the future. A more economic car will use substantially less fuel and more than pay for the cost of the service.
Shop Around For Offers
While many of us will discount the various supermarket offers on fuel they do add up and will make a difference. Doing all of your shopping in one place will also save time and money driving around - don't look a gift horse in the mouth!
