Bargains to be had as eBay transaction volumes hit record levels
As record amounts of unwanted Christmas gifts hit the online auction market there are some excellent bargains to be had on the likes of eBay with prices remaining relatively low due to excessive stock on offer. While you need to be very careful with whom you are dealing with on eBay, making use of the various rating systems available, there are some excellent bargains to be had as over £2 billion worth of unwanted gifts start to stream online.
However, it must be said that the potential rush for online bargains has also attracted fraudsters and scams in excessive numbers and you need to be sure about who you are dealing with, what you're buying and ensure the correct process and procedures are followed. It must also be noted that eBay, while the largest online auction site by some margin, is not the only site available but does probably offer the broadest spread of products.
Again, many experts are mystified as to where UK consumers are getting their funding from although there is a suggestion that credit card debt could be rising yet further. While Gordon Brown has been attempting to get consumers back into the market this was not an area which he had targeted and it will not benefit the struggling high-street companies.
