Is wedding day insurance worth considering for your big day?

Saturday 4th October 2008

When you consider that the average wedding now costs in excess of £18,000 it will come as no surprise to learn that wedding insurance has literally taken on a life of its own. You can now insure against every possible eventuality on your wedding day and at least cover yourself if something was to go wrong, There is no worse feeling on your big day than worrying about what could go wrong.

The wedding day cover policies of today take in elements such as the caterers, damage to clothing, the rings, the wedding cake, the entertainment, the drinks and something which many people will not even give a second thought to, accidents on your wedding day!

Do not forget that we live in an age where blame can equal a claim for many people and this has even been known to take in weddings. People will claim for just about anything and if you do not have the necessary cover you could be in serious trouble. For the sake of under £100 in many cases it is now possible to insure yourself against common and uncommon events on your wedding day – if it has happened to someone then there is every chance you can get cover!
