Should you buy private healthcare?
The private healthcare issue is very similar to the pensions situation as the value of the NHS to each and every person in the UK is diminishing under a mountain of executives, healthcare trusts and excess spending. The days when you were able to go to the doctor and arrange an immediate appointment at the hospital have long gone with many people waiting years to get treatment.
It does not seem to matter which government is in power in the UK, the NHS is a political football where statistics count more than the treatment of people. Once you have even had the quickest of chats with a doctor at the hospital and received an appointment for 8 months time you are down as a 'success' - you have started your treatment despite the fact it may be years down the line before you actually get what you want.
Private healthcare is a growing market in the UK and one which allows you to look after yourself and your family, ensuring that treatment is received when treatment is needed and you are not placed in massive queues to be kicked around like a political football. Those who have never looked at private healthcare may be surprised to see the low cost of cover.
