Absolute Return Partners Announces Fund Of Hedge Funds

Saturday 7th June 2008

In a move which the traditional investor may find difficult to get their heads around, Absolute Return Partners of the UK has today announced the launch of a Fund of Hedge Funds – in essence an investment fund which will invest across a range of hedge funds. So what is it all about?

While many people are scared off by the term hedge fund, they can offer a useful tool for those a little more knowledgeable about the market. They do not all take multi-million gambles on the price of gold or oil with many looking to secure investments in asset backed sectors which offer limited downside.

The Absolute Return Partners fund will invest across a range of hedge funds with exposure to what are commonly known as ‘distressed’ companies as well as more secure, asset backed investments. They hope to be able to strike a balance and position the fund to benefit from the eventual upturn in the UK economy, whenever that may be.

As with any investment it is vital that advice is taken to ensure you appreciate the risks and the investment fits in with you own personal financial objectives.
