When would be businessman Shaun Pulfrey appeared on the popular ‘Dragon’s Den’ TV show, where those with business ideas attempt to secure finance from a group of successful business people, he was sure his idea would hit the spot. However, his innovative hair detangler was rejected out of hand by the Dragons and he walked away empty handed. But he has had the last laugh!
It has now been revealed that his Tangle Teezers product will be stocked in Boots stores across the UK with turnover for the product expected to hit £1.5 million this year. This is on top of substantial internet sales which have seen turnover reach £800,000 creating a profit of some £200,000. There are rumours of more deals on the way and while life is getting much better for Shaun Pulfrey he has certainly battled to get where he is today.
The moral of this story is that even the best business heads in the world do not get it right all of the time. While there is a risk with any new product or service it is vital that you follow your dream if you truly believe it will work. Shaun Pulfrey did and he is well on the way to banking his first million! |
