Have you considered your pension fund arrangements?
As the controversy regarding the UK budget continues to die down many people are now looking towards the future and their pension fund arrangements. However, there are a growing number of people in the UK who have either ditched their short-term pension arrangements or not even considered them. These are the people who will suffer severely as the value of the UK state pension continues to fall in real terms.
It is no secret that the state pension has been increased by less than inflation for some time, which effectively means the pension pound in your pocket today will be worth less next year. As time goes by, this ongoing erosion of value will start to have a larger and larger impact on more and more people throughout the country. While it is inevitable that some people will not be in a position to take on pension fund arrangements, there are literally millions in the UK who could and should be looking at this area.
A quick visit to your local financial adviser will allow you to view your situation, your prospects and what you can and cannot do in the short, medium and longer term. By looking to the future many people will be able to put aside a small amount for their pension fund arrangements, which in due course should attract significant investment returns up until retirement. Pension advice should be taken before any arrangements are agreed.
