Family life is very different in the recession
A report by Clydesdale Bank and Yorkshire Bank has cast a very depressing shadow across family life in the UK. The report shows that more than 1 million families in the UK are now arguing more than ever with regards to money and finance during these difficult financial times. The report also confirms that approaching 2 million families in the UK feel pressure on a daily basis and are struggling to make ends meet with regards to monthly budgets and spending habits.
There has also been an influx of older children returning to their parent's home due to the fact they have been unable to continue to cover the cost of alternative accommodation. These are the often unseen consequences of a difficult financial phase in the UK economy but ones which can have a lasting impact upon those involved. Financial pressure is one of the main reasons for divorce in UK and as a consequence we are likely to see a significant increase in separation numbers in the months and years ahead.
Therefore, it is vital that those who are feeling the financial pinch take professional advice to try and reduce the pressure as much as possible.
