Business Confidence hits 20 year high
06/01/2014
A report from Lloyds bank has claimed that confidence from UK businesses in the wider economy and export prospects has hit a 20 year high across all regions and sectors in the UK.
The report suggests hope and expectation amongst UK businesses that the wider economy will grow in the first 6-months of 2014, whilst further offering hope for increasing levels of employment in the New Year. These expectations come as the report shows figures that suggest that companies are now more optimistic about the economy than they have been at any point since January 2007, whilst further signalling an intent to increase staff numbers in 2014.
The figures reflect businesses expecting increased orders, sales and profits over the next six months, with export expectations to the Asia-Pacific region playing a big role in the increased confidence levels.
