Why planning for your death is not as stupid as it sounds

As the UK tax authorities seek to grab more and more of our income, our assets, in life and in death it has never been more vital to look at your circumstances and literally plan for your demise. There are legitimate options open which will reduce your potential tax charge upon your death, leaving your beneficiaries a larger proportion of your assets after taxation. However, the subject of death is not one which is easily discussed in the open but is one which does need to be considered from time to time.

The quicker we realise that none of us are indestructible and many of us have families who rely on us, the easier the decision to plan for the future. The longer you leave it the more chance that the government will grab more and more of your estate and your income upon your death in order to pay down the ever increasing national debt. Why not arrange a meeting with your financial advisor over the next few weeks and discuss your will and your financial arrangements to see what can be done now and what can be considered for the future.
