The benefits of Internet banking

As the banking community in the UK continues to shrink it seems that more and more people are using the internet to arrange their finances. Only a couple of years ago there was uproar when bank branches were being closed down but now we all seem to have accepted this. So what can internet banking do for you?

The vast majority of people in the UK are probably working through the day when their banks are open and unable to drop by to organise transfers, etc. However, with online bank you have the chance to transfer funds at your convenience 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can also set up direct debits, standing orders, set up savings accounts, apply for loans and mortgages to name but a few services available.

We are also starting to see the emergence of mobile banking with some banks trialling systems which can be used on your mobile phone to give you the ultimate mobile office. However, it may take a little while for mobile banking to catch on as it has done for fixed line internet banking. But online banking is here to stay and until you have used it you really don't know what you are missing.
