Four members of Parliament up for possible expenses convictions

It has been revealed that four members of Parliament, MPs and peers, are under investigation by the director of public prosecutions with regards to potential criminal action in relation to their expenses. While many MPs have been made to pay back a significant amount of money over the last few months there are a handful of members who many believe may be forced to go before the courts to try and clear their names.

While no names have been put forward as yet, there are a number of potential MPs and peers in the frame but until we hear definitively from the director of public prosecutions the speculation goes on. Whether these particular members of Parliament have been "hung out to dry" by the UK government will be revealed in due course, because it is well known that voters want to see some MPs and peers "pay the price" for the generous MPs expenses program.

How ironic that the MP's expenses scandal only emerged under a Freedom of information request under an act passed by the UK government. This has since opened a "can of worms" and many people believe the MPs expenses saga still has some way to run.
