UK public services appear immune from the UK recession
It appears as though UK public services are immune from the UK recession with a suggestion that the NHS for example continues to take on more and more staff which is increasing the cost base of the operation. The figures have been released by Healthcare Locums which supplies significant numbers of temporary staff and full-time staff to the NHS around the UK. So is this trend being repeated across the UK public sector?
If you take a look at the headlines regarding public services in the UK you could be mistaken for believing that costs have been cut and staffing levels have been reduced however this is not the case. A closer look at the situation will instil horror into UK taxpayers with thousands of staff receive redundancy in one department and then being taken on in another department. While the authorities claim this does not happen there is evidence to suggest otherwise, at massive expense to the UK taxpayer.
The number of employees in the UK public services sector has mushroomed since Labour came to power more than a decade ago, which has led to significant pension liabilities being created as all public service operations have final salary pension schemes.
