Royal Bank of Scotland targeted by climate change activist
The Royal Bank of Scotland has again been the target of climate change activists in London with a number breaking through into the company's London office and using superglue to attach themselves to the second floor of the company's head office. This is not the first time Royal Bank of Scotland, seen by many as the evil face of capitalism, has been targeted by climate change activists and it will no doubt not be the last.
There is currently an enormous climate change supporters camp in London with various targets set to be revealed over the next few days. The police have been unable to control the group as they have been refusing to reveal their plans or even the initial location of their climate change camp. This is yet another attack on the worldwide banking sector and with police under intense pressure to take a "low-key approach" it seems that the next few days will see further damaging headlines for the UK banking industry.
This comes at a time when the UK banking sector is perhaps the most "hated" business sector in the UK and indeed when the likes of the chairman of the FSA decide to "stick the boot in" this really does say it all.
