Has David Cameron done enough?
David Cameron today delivered the speech of his life as he attempts to become the next prime minister of the UK. His speech at the end of the Conservative party conference this week was well accepted within the halls and appears to have been well accepted by voters in the UK. Initial feedback would seem to suggest the Tories have at least maintained their lead over the Labour Party in the polls with some surveys putting the Conservatives even further ahead. So what next?
It was interesting to see that the Conservative party conference this week started with a reminder that the election has not yet been won and those who believed it was "in the bag" are well short of the mark. Even though the vast majority of experts believe the Conservative party can only lose the election from now on in, there is a feeling that the Labour Party will attempt to make headway using a forecast recovery in UK economy between now and polling day.
There is still a long way to go in the fight for the next government office and while the Conservative party have a significant lead at the moment, nothing has been won!
