Is David Cameron ready for office?
As the political polls continue to give the Conservative party a significant lead over Labour, attention is now turning towards David Cameron with many asking the question as to whether he is ready for office. Only a few months ago when the Conservative party started to break down the Labour lead there was no mention of David Cameron's background or his experience but now the Conservatives have pushed ahead many are starting to look at the man behind the figure. So is David Cameron ready for office?
There is no doubt that the Conservative party is a mixture of youth, experience and newcomers to the political scene but this is no different to the Labour Party which took over in 1999. Many in the UK are now calling for a fresh approach to the economy, a fresh approach to UK finances and a fresh government to lead the UK forward. Whether David Cameron is the man remains to be seen but one of the major criticisms he has attracted over recent times has been the lack of policy details for the future.
However, there is no doubt that the Conservative party is now starting to drip feed parts of its manifesto to the press and while the opposition parties are critical of his comments on marriage, tax and immigration, there would appear to be more substance behind the man than many people had assumed.
