When will the small business market improve in the UK?

The UK has always been a country which has developed and nurtured literally millions of small businesses over the years. However, the credit crunch and the following recession have severely limited the amount of credit available to small business entrepreneurs in the UK and we have seen a collapse in many ultimately viable businesses purely and simply because of cash flow and finance issues. So when will the UK small business market begin to recover?

Any recovery in the UK small business market will be heavily associated with an increase in liquidity in the banking arena and reduction in credit rates. There is no business in the world which can hit the ground running, move into profitability immediately and ultimately finance itself from day one. Even the best businesses in the world will have started in a small way and they may well have struggled in the early years. While the UK government has introduced a number of small business initiatives during these difficult times more needs to be done to increase the flow of finance from the banking arena to the small business arena.

A number of small businesses in the UK today could be multinationals tomorrow and bring in massive income for the UK government, create jobs and ultimately assist with growth in the UK economy.
