Can Gordon Brown Turn The Economy Around Before The Next Election?

Even though he thought about calling a snap election in 2007, Gordon Brown is unlikely to call the next election until the very last minute with many seeing 2010 as the only real choice. The economy has turned, the voters have turned and there has been a massive amount of in fighting within the Labour Party of later â€" ring any bells?

The Labour Party of today is the Conservative Party prior to Labour coming back into power, and the season of open defiance of Gordon Brown is well upon us. So what can Gordon Brown do? Is he really in the last chance saloon?

Over the next 2 to 3 years Gordon Brown will need to pull off the greatest escape of them all and breathe life into a dying economy, convince the voters that he is on their side and start to rebuild his party from the centre. This is a tall order for any PM and especially a one who has lost the trust of the UK voters on such a large scale.

However, Gordon Brown has been here before when Tony Blair tried to stop him taking the reigns, a time when he proved himself a very formidable opponent. Gordon Brown may be battered and bruised but do not write him off just yet!
