It's just a jump to the left, let's do the Labour time warp again!
The first day of the Labour Party conference in Manchester saw the re-emergence of Old Labour from the ashes of New Labour. The phoenix has risen from the ashes and we now seem to be dancing the 'Time Warp' at the Labour Party shindig!
'It just a jump to the left' as Alistair Darling attacks the so called fat cats of the City, the movers and shakers who were the friends of New Labour. To roars of approval from the Union leaders at the conference he laid the blame for the latest economic disaster to hit the UK fairly and squarely at the door of the City business people whom appear on masses of the Labour led quangos and advisory committees.
Slowly but surely we can see the Old Labour ideals of tax the rich and give to the poor starting to come through as Gordon Brown and his cabinet finally realise that they are now in the pockets of the Unions after affectively disowning them under the Blair and Brown premierships of yesteryear.
Nearly £20 million in debt and with very few Labour supporters stepping forward with cold hard cash it is now up to the Unions to bail Labour out yet again. But what price this time?

Despite the fact that it appears as though the UK economy is at least moving in the right direction, consumer confidence fell by four points to -17 in November according to the GfK NOP.
