Rescue package launched and now the political truce is over!
The Conservative party now seems to be on the war path after a period during which all of the political parties of the UK decided to work together for the good of the country. The end of the friendly period came to an abrupt halt on Friday when the Conservatives held a City conference to highlight how and where the UK government went wrong with their handling of the UK economy. So why has the mood changed?
There are two main reasons why the mood has changed, one is the fact that the Conservative party is still looking to get back into power at the next election and needs to keep up its relentless attack on the Labour party, but the other is a little more intriguing.
Since the Tories announced a period of assistance for the government for the good of the country we have seen Gordon Brown hit the headlines as Superman and the man who saved the world. Whether this is true or not, the Tories cannot afford to see the PM getting back in the picture with voters in the UK. This is the real reason why the attacks have started again, why we should be back to normal in Parliament.
