Choosing the right credit card for you
Even though the credit card industry is hitting the headlines at this moment in time for all the wrong reasons, there is still significant demand across the UK for the "flexible friend". However, with so many different varieties of credit card available, so many offers and so many temptations, which one is the correct one for your situation?
The truth is that you need to take into account a whole array of different elements with regards to each and every credit card you look at including the annual fee, cash advance fee, balance transfer fee, late payment fee, over credit limit fee, and any other fees. It is also vital that where for example there are interest-free balance transfers available you consider the length of these particular offers as this could severely impact upon your overall decision.
Many people get pulled in by the headline rates and offers afforded to various credit cards but really you need to focus on what you need, what you will use and the offers available. There is no point even considering the balance transfer fee element if you have no balance to transfer likewise there is no point checking out the late payment fee if you are on time and well organised with regards to your payments.
