Credit card companies putting customers under pressure?
More and more credit card customers in the UK are now complaining of being "harassed" by their credit card company even though many people are up-to-date with their payments. It would appear that more and more credit card companies are becoming proactive where they feel their customers are entering financial difficulties, even if they are up-to-date with their payment schedules. So what can you do?
The truth is that if you are up-to-date with your payments then ultimately there should be no real problems but if you are entering financial difficulties then you need to make your credit card company aware as soon as possible. It is also vital in these financially difficult times that we all reduce our credit card spending where possible and increase the buffer between what we earn and what we spend.
Credit card companies are well aware of our credit ratings and our credit transactions via the various credit systems and will be monitoring each and every customer to see signs of change. Let's not forget that your credit card company can at any time call in your debt, as we have seen in some circumstances over the last few months. For many people this has been the catalyst for significant financial difficulties from which many have failed to recover.
