Now UK consumers need to pay for Christmas!
As the festive period draws to a close and we move headlong into 2009 the reality of how to pay for Christmas will only just be hitting home with many UK consumers. Despite the doom and gloom for the last few months we saw a record number of consumers hit the high Street in the last few days before Christmas grabbing bargains galore along the way. However, now is the time to pay for this Christmas excess!
Credit card bills will be falling through letterboxes towards the middle of January with many dreading the exact figure they will show and the amount of money due this month alone. Even though many of the UK population have tried to stay within their spending limits this has proved very difficult for some with Christmas and New Year sales seeing significant bargains available. However, a bargain is only a bargain if you can afford it and many across the UK will soon realise that they could not.
UK debt per persons is set to increase substantially over the next few weeks as credit card and debit card spending is tallied up. Even though interest rates have fallen substantially many people are not even in a position to pay back the capital never mind the smaller interest charges.
