Do you actually have a weekly budget for your home?

We talk about budgets, we talk about saving money, we talk about spending online but how many of us actually have a weekly budget for our home and more importantly how many of us stick to this budget?

It is very easy to overspend in any area of life if you didn't have expectations and guidelines to help you. Budgets for your home are no different and you should be in a position to know exactly what is required each and every month, what you have coming in and what you have left. However, unfortunately it appears that more and more people in the UK are literally living hand to mouth with no thought given to the future, even just a few weeks ahead.

The bottom line is that all of us could, and possibly should, be reducing our monthly budgets and putting some money aside for a rainy day if possible. There is not one household in the UK which could honestly suggest that there are no opportunities to save money. Whether you use money saved in one area to fund another or as we suggested above, place on deposit, will be guided by your own specific situation, but there are savings out there and there are ways and means of taking some of the financial pressure off your everyday life.
