Simple ways to save money : Club membership
How many of us have made various New Year resolutions over the years only to break them after only a few weeks? How many of us have joined a gym in the hope of getting fit but not made full use of the membership?
There are many people in the UK who will join gyms, fitness clubs, weight loss clubs and other associations where monthly premiums are paid direct from their bank accounts. While direct debits are very useful and often save time, they can be very dangerous unless you keep track of what you are using and what you are in effect wasting. If you're paying £40 for a gym membership and only going once or twice a month then you should consider cancelling your membership and paying a daily rate as and when you do use the facility.
If you're a member of a Weight Watchers club and again you pay a monthly premium then you need to make sure you get value for money otherwise again this is money wasted. These are just two examples of direct debit premiums which can in due course become very uneconomical and in some cases a complete waste of money. You should monitor your direct debits on a regular basis to ensure that you are receiving value for money and you are making the most of what you're paying for.
