Why being realistic could save your finances
Even in these difficult times in the UK there are still many people overspending on items and services which they do not require. While there are various options open to those who get themselves into financial trouble, whether this be through mortgage arrears or debt repayments, the true fact is that reality needs to be introduced for many people across the country.
If you sit down and study your monthly budget and monthly expenditure can you really justify the vast majority of items acquired? Were there no items or services which you could have done without or delayed? Did you really obtain good value for money?
The sad truth is that while many of us would like to think we are financially sensible there are situations which we put ourselves in where we will and do overspend. More than anything, it is a sensible approach required for such situations which will literally make or break many people in the UK, and around the world, with a heavy dose of reality required by many.
Many of us may have expensive sky packages, drive an expensive vehicle, eat too many takeaways and ultimately waste a significant portion of our monthly incomes. By simply cutting out the excesses, even for a short period of time, there are potential savings to be made which could come in handy in other areas of your life.

From my experience of speaking to clients, regularly reviewing family finances is something that is put off time and again. In the majority of cases a meeting request will only be agreed when a client has a specific and pressing matter they wish to address at that point in time, such as a sum they wish to invest, or a particular financial question that needs answering and/or discussing. I be...
