One person's rubbish is another person's gold

A number of surveys throughout the UK have found that many people tend to hoard large amounts of unused and potentially useless items. However, rather than dispose of these via the rubbish bin, more people are looking towards the likes of eBay where "one person's rubbish is another person's gold" and there is the potential to raise significant money from your old "rubbish".

While aside from the fact that various antiques and valuable items have often been found in garages and lofts throughout the UK, on a more daily basis there are old console games, clothes, toys, bikes and other items which do you have a value no matter what state they are in. Sites such as eBay offer the opportunity to advertise your unwanted items to a potentially enormous market of millions of users around the world. When you consider it is also relatively simple and cheap to post items to any area of the world the opportunities are enormous.

So next time you're in your loft and spot a bin bag of old items which you were about to throw out then think again, log onto eBay and see if anybody wants to buy your "rubbish" - any money received should be seen as a bonus as potentially they were headed for the rubbish tip!
