Staggering stag night costs as scary as marriage
Invites to stag and hen celebrations may be treated with as much caution as the wedding day itself, according to new research, which shows that the price tag for a night out has soared in recent years.Friends of the bride or the groom can expect to pay £100.25 each to help celebrate the last night of freedom according to HenNightHQ and StagNightHQ websites. With each party attended by an average of 15 guests, the total price of a stag or hen night could be as high as £1,503.75.Many revellers choose to have a trip away, with Amsterdam becoming increasingly popular, but partygoers can expect a bill of £228.96 each for their celebrations."With such a high price tag attached, hen and stag invites are now treated with trepidation," said HenNightHQ spokeswoman Ruth Wilkinson.Over a third of the money will be spent on alcohol, which perhaps makes it unsurprising that one in ten brides and grooms to be will in some way cheat on their partners during their night out. Two in ten also admit to other fruity behaviour such as stripping off in public.
