Will A Water Meter Save You Money?
As the cost of living in the UK continues to go through the roof more and more people are looking into water meters as a way of saving yet more money on their household expenses. But does it work?
To start with it is worth consider how much it actually costs for some of our everyday water needs like a bath, washing the car, the toilet, washing dishes and the washing machine to name but a few. It is likely that 99% of the UK population will have no clue as to how much they are charged per litre of water or how much it costs them to wash their clothes for a year. What better way to monitor these costs than a water meter?
Like those who use electric meters you need to ensure that you are getting the best deal around and not being penalised for using a meter (recent surveys showed that electricity meter users pay more for their power). Once you have bagged the best deal for you then it is just a case of monitoring your everyday usage and how much it will cost you.
You will soon see which actions use the most water and cost you in the long term, allowing you to plan ahead and make changes where possible. It is not easy but there are potential savings to be made.
