Online fraud nearly doubles in just 12 months!
If ever there was a sign that we are in real trouble with worldwide economies it is the massive growth in online fraud as more and more people throw their common sense out of the window and chase an array of free money, gifts and other such prizes. Online crime is a relatively risk free operation as it can often be impossible to find the perpetrators who could literally be on the other side of the world. So who can protect the everyday person in the street? Who will point people in the right direction?
Unfortunate we have seen some substantial investment in online education both at schools, the home and the world place but more and more people still get tempted. How can you win a competition you never even entered, why would you give your bank account passwords to a total stranger and why would you have to pay to receive a cash award?
A lot of these online scams do not make sense in the cold light of day but people are desperate, people are concerned and this is the perfect mix for the online fraudster to make a fortune. Don't let it be you!
