Simple ways to reduce your car insurance
As UK car insurance policies are renewed up-and-down country each and every year the trend for policy premiums seems to be going higher and higher each year. However, while much of the increase in policy payments is down to uninsured drivers causing damage on the roads it is the humble and honest car driver who is suffering. So what can you do to reduce your future car insurance premiums?
One of the more basic ways to reduce your car insurance premiums is to pay one years premiums in a lump sum, where possible. This will reduce your overall costs, compared to monthly premiums, by anything up to 30% and induce significant cash savings. There's also the fact that you can increase your excess which will automatically reduce your car insurance premiums and save yet more money. Then we have the issue of insurance details regarding how many miles you drive year, where you park your vehicle, adding a car alarm to your vehicle and other similar small details which can lead to significant savings overall.
More and more car insurance companies are also offering discounts on vehicles registered at the same address so this is something which should be considered if there is more than one car owner living in your house.
