Lord Sugar hits the headlines again
The UK government's enterprise advisor, Lord Sugar, has today endured the wrath of the TUC after it was alleged he claimed women were more likely than men to discriminate against female employees. This is an allegation which he has yet to respond to but one which has the business arena up in arms and puts his future involvement in the UK government's enterprise scheme in jeopardy.
This is not the first time that Lord Sugar has hit the headlines for the wrong reasons since taking his position as the government's enterprise advisor. As we mentioned in one of our earlier post, there is no doubt that he has the experience and know-how to turn around any business but it would appear that his manner and his forthright attitude to problems could be his downfall in the political arena. It looks as though this week could see the resignation of Alan Sugar which would effectively kill dead any potential political ambitions he may have.
The business arena in the UK has changed dramatically over the last 20 years or so with many believing it is now being overrun by the "politically correct" regime who are attacking anybody who does not follow their way of communication. Is Lord Sugar correct in his manner and his forthright attitude? Or is there no place for him in today's political arena?
