The pressure of debt
As more and more people in the UK feel the pinch in relation to growing debts there is a significant risk to health. It is easy to forget, unless you're in that situation, the significant increase in pressure and stress when trying to balance a family budget, repay debt and also live a life, when income is under pressure and employment positions are being lost in the UK each and every day.
Those who "battle on" may think they are doing the right thing but prolonged stress and pressure can have an impact on health and personal relationships. It is essential that those who are feeling the pinch and know they are slipping into the financial abyss seek advice from the array of debt advisers around the country. While there is no short term solution to debt problems, the ability to reschedule your finances could at least take significant short-term pressure off everyday life. In the event that debt is overpowering and unlikely to be resolved in the longer term there are options such as IVAs and bankruptcy although professional advice should be sought before going down these routes.
Nobody should suffer in silence as the UK has a nationwide network of debt counsellors and professional advisers who can assist.
