Max Clifford believes Sir Fred Goodwin's life is at risk

PR guru Max Clifford believes that Sir Fred Goodwin's life could be in danger from extremist groups in the UK. As we have covered extensively on the website, Sir Fred's refusal to give up any of his alleged £17 million pension fund has caught the eye of the financial press, the UK government and UK taxpayers. The last few days has seen the home and car of Sir Fred Goodwin vandalised and various threats left on a number of Internet forums.

However, the fact that PR guru Max Clifford has raised the question of possible serious injury to Sir Fred has both angered and concerned many around the UK. There are a significant number of people who believe that Sir Fred has not acted in the right manner, although he has done nothing illegal, but resorting to violence and threats to his family is for 99.9% of his detractors, a step too far. It is worthwhile noting that the UK government would appear to have downgraded its very personal and long-running attack on Sir Fred Goodwin in light of the threats to his life and vandalism of this home. It is rumoured that Sir Fred is currently in France, having been advised to stay out of the country until things "calm down".
