Long-term investment strategies : Property
While there are signs of a potential recovery in the UK property market nothing is definite at this moment in time with the recession balanced on a knife edge. However, while historically property has been one of the main investment vehicles for many people around the world there had been a suggestion this could change in the foreseeable future. So will we see property taken over as the number-one investment tool around the world?
The truth is that while the UK property market, the US property market and other prominent property markets around the world have suffered substantial falls over the last 18 months, people will always need homes and properties. While it would be foolish to suggest that we will see a significant advance and return to former levels in the short to medium term, there is no doubt that investors still have an appetite for property around the world.
Historically, property, in the longer term, has been one of the more lucrative investments for some time and once we see a return of significant finance to the marketplace we should see a return of interest in this sector. Whether you're looking at direct property, property companies on the stock market or property funds, there are ways and means of gaining exposure to property markets around the world.
