Property investors turn to land for the future
While the UK housing market is starting to show signs of stabilisation, and potential recovery, there is still a long way to go for many people to recoup the outlay on their homes. While there are, in the opinion of many people, still various opportunities in the property market, a number of investors are now looking towards land as an investment for the future. So is land the way ahead?
There is no doubt that various property companies around the UK have struggled over the last few months and continue to struggle as they battle to attract the attention of would-be home buyers. A number of these large companies have built up substantial land banks over the last few years and may be forced to reduce their exposure to raise extra cash row. There is potentially an opportunity to acquire land for the future, with or without planning permission, although as the economy improves so will the cost of labour and materials for your dream home.
It is debatable as to whether land is in fact the best way ahead for those looking to step onto the property ladder though it is potentially something which you should be discussing with your financial advisor if you're thinking this way.
