Is it cheaper to buy a home than to rent?
Experts now believe that first-time buyers should be looking towards a property purchase rather than renting their home due to the fact that house prices have fallen so far over the last two years. While there are obvious implications with regards to a purchase and rental of a home these need to be taken into account and balanced against the long-term future and long-term investment potential. Is it time to buy your first home in the UK?
Unfortunately, there is a growing feeling that property prices in the UK could fall further in 2010 after the "false dawn" has ended. While not all experts agree with this particular train of thought it certainly has received more support over the last few days. Even if this particular forecast does not come to fruition there is no doubt that it will impact upon the short to medium term strategy of UK banks and could see liquidity restricted for some time to come.
As we all know, liquidity is the food which feeds the property market in the UK and around the world and without it there is no way that the market can grow and recover. We would appear to be at a "chicken and egg situation".
