Is It Time To Look At Buy To Let?
As the housing market continues to fall and the news seems to get worse there is a feeling that the bottom of the market may not be far away, but is it time to buy? Is it time to look at the buy to let market?
While the truth is that nobody knows if we are at the bottom of the property slump, or whether we have some way to go yet, the signs are not good. Many investors are still sitting on their hands waiting for that opportune moment, the time to catch the bargains just before the market turns, but is it really possible to catch the bottom of the market?
Any investor who thinks that they can call the bottom of any market AND invest their money at the very bottom is either very very intelligent or very very lucky. In reality it is almost impossible to call the bottom of any slump, or the top of any rise for that matter. If you picture a falling market as a falling knife, trying to catch that knife is very dangerous and can hurt you. Some investors will drip feed their money in at different levels on the way down while some will wait until the market HAS turned and then buy for the long term.
It all sounds so easy, if only.......
