Short-term finance
Short-term finance is the most expensive on the market and should be avoided at all costs unless there is no other option. Perfect examples are credit cards and overdraft facilities which can attract interest rates of over 20%!
Live within your means
You should always work to budget and leave yourself some money aside for some luxuries and unexpected events. We all work to live not live to work but there needs to be a happy compromise.
Cut back on luxuries in troubled times
We all know the luxuries we can't afford in these difficult times such as Sky TV in every room and every bedroom, takeaways, weekends away and other such luxuries. If we are sensible there is significant money to be saved.
Always shop around for the best deal
There are hundreds of thousands of people in the UK who have yet to look at changing their utility companies, insurance companies or even broadband providers. There are literally hundreds of pounds of potential savings a year if you shop around for the best deal.
