Is it time to review my pension arrangements?
After the emergency budget announced by George Osborne this week there is growing pressure on each and every individual in the UK to look at and review their pension arrangements. There have been significant changes to the pension industry and there will be more to follow in due course which could impact upon your relative wealth and relative spending power in the future. So is it time to review your pension arrangements?
The truth is that you should review your pension arrangements on a regular basis but after this week's budget there may be more reason than ever before to do so. In the early years of your employment life it can be easy to ignore the potential problems which await us in the future, but in reality, the earlier we begin to climb onto the pensions ladder the more potential for a comfortable lifestyle in our later years. However, there is also a need to take professional advice and review not only your pension arrangements but also look at your overall financial situation.
The "correct decisions" for your particular situation will change as you grow older and adjustments will be required to protect your assets and protect your income.
