Michael Page confirms recovery in the UK banking sector
At a time when many in the UK are still struggling to repair their finances and businesses are still looking to cut costs and employment numbers it has been revealed, by recruitment agency Michael Page, that the banking sector is now back in vogue. The company has confirmed it has been asked to find twice as many bankers as it was a year ago which will do nothing to temper UK public disdain for the sector.
Despite pouring hundreds of billions of pounds into the UK banking sector we have yet to see any meaningful increase in liquidity levels and the UK public and business environment are becoming more and more agitated. Despite various government attempts to slow down any short-term recovery in the UK banking sector this has proved in vain with bonuses now back to pre-credit crunch levels in some cases and financial institutions looking to expand their workforce again.
In the run up to the general election the banking sector and the UK economy as a whole will take pride of place and be the subject of many discussions between the leading parties. It very much depends on which angle you take and which opinion you have about the state of the UK economy and the banking sector as to which political party you may favour at the next election.
