Can David Cameron push on to victory?
Since David Cameron was appointed leader of the Conservative party there has been much criticism directed his way regarding his inexperience and lack of "meat on the bone" regarding policies. Even though recently he opened up a double-digit gap in the voting polls on the Labour Party many believe this was simply a case of the government shooting itself in the foot and the Conservative party being the major benefactor. Now David Cameron has the chance to push on to victory will he take it?
Over the last three days we have seen three separate incidents which have embarrassed the UK government which include the very public rebuke by the European Union regarding the UK budget deficit, Gordon Brown being forced to correct his evidence to the Chilcot Inquiry and the recent revelation that the Unite union, Labour's largest donor, is behind the British Airways strike action. These are three separate situations which the Conservative party needs to exploit to the maximum to differentiate itself from the UK government and put the party on the side of UK voters.
There is still some concern as to whether David Cameron can indeed make the final push towards victory but if he misses out on these three golden opportunities then perhaps he does not deserve to take the top office in the UK?
