Will we see a review of the UK banking collapse in due course?

As the US authorities make plans to review the economic collapse which affected the worldwide economy there is hope that a UK banking review could be announced in the short to medium term. While it is unlikely that a review of the economic collapse in the UK, and the reasons for this collapse, will be announced before the election we could well see a Conservative party issue plans if it is able to secure office.

Any review of the UK banking collapse and the wider economic collapse could be a very embarrassing affair for the UK government and all political parties. There is no doubt that mistakes have been made and while the credit crunch was the obvious seed for the worldwide collapse perhaps the worldwide banking arena was allowed to become too powerful and obtained too much control over the worldwide economy.

The US authorities have instigated a root and branch review of the US financial system which is likely to see blame apportioned to various areas of the US government. However, blaming individuals and departments for past problems is irrelevant and we need to look to the future and learn from the many mistakes made.
