What do you know about David William Donald Cameron?

Otherwise known as David Cameron, David William Donald Cameron is the leader of the Conservative party and many believe is on the brink of bringing the Conservatives back to power after a lengthy period in opposition. Born in London on 9 October 1966 David Cameron is one of the younger breed of politicians in the UK who many believe will appeal to younger voters and help reinstate the Conservative party as the leading political light in the UK.

David Cameron's political career began on 7 June 2001 when he was installed as member of Parliament for Witney, taking on the role of shadow Secretary of State for Education and Skills between May and December 2005. In a surprise leadership battle he was victorious against more experienced competition and was installed as leader of the opposition on 6 December 2005. Despite the fact that David Cameron has been ridiculed by many as being inexperienced he is from a financial background with his father, Ian Donald Cameron, a stockbroker.

Seemingly against all the odds he was victorious in the leadership battle with many impressed by his public speaking abilities which attracted rave reviews in the press. Only a few months ago the Conservative party was around 20% ahead of the Labour government in the polls but unfortunately this is down to single digits and David Cameron certainly has a battle on his hands.
