Was Gordon Brown right with his economic policies?
Despite the fact that Gordon Brown, and to a lesser extent Alistair Darling, were ridiculed by the UK press with regards to various economic policies and economic initiatives over the last two years, have this week's figures proved them correct?

While Gordon Brown has disappeared into the shadow somewhat over the next few weeks we could see his profile improve with the UK electorate and the UK media.
Those who remember the more difficult times of the last two or three years will be well aware that after initially being welcomed as something of a maverick with very different ideas to save the UK, and the worldwide, economies, Gordon Brown was then ridiculed by his EU counterparts. However, a number of his chickens are now coming home to roost with news that a number of his financial initiatives are starting to pay dividends. So, were we too tough on Gordon Brown just a few short weeks ago?
