Is Ken Clarke the Tory Party's secret weapon?
At a time when David Cameron needs all the help he can get it is evident that Ken Clarke is coming more to the fore with many party members pushing him forward as a spokesperson on the economy and the spending habits of the Labour Party. Among a number of accusations hurled towards the Conservative party has been the relative lack of experience within the shadow cabinet. The strategy of wheeling out Ken Clarke to combat the Labour PR machine has proved very successful over the last few days and his attack on Gordon Brown's spending in the past and his future plans has made headlines on a daily basis. Will the old stager finally take the spotlight?
